Meet Rachelle

CEO and Founder of the AI-powered monitoring app, FYI play it safe

Rachelle Kruger, a devoted mother and tech enthusiast, founded FYI play it safe to address the pressing need for a comprehensive solution to ensure her daughter’s online safety. What began as a personal endeavour evolved into a ground-breaking innovation, offering a world-first functionality that monitors all apps across a child’s device. Rachelle’s commitment to creating a solution for her family has now become a pioneering tool, helping parents worldwide navigate the digital landscape and safeguard their children online.

“I wanted to develop an app that would protect our children online, alert parents when there is something to worry about, but at the same time respect our children’s privacy.”

Rachelle’s passion extends beyond the development of the FYI play it safe app. Engaging in podcasting and insightful educational talks, she uses these platforms to delve deeper into the challenges faced by tweens and teenagers in the online world. Her commitment to understanding these issues is evident in her upcoming book, based on candid and anonymous conversations with tweens and teens. Through her work, Rachelle aims to provide parents with valuable insights, empowering them to be more informed about not only the risks their children face, but their real digital experiences.

“What’s important for parents is to become empowered and knowledgeable. We need to understand tween and teen digital spaces better, we need to be clear about risks and threats, and we need to be proactive when it comes to helping our children stay safer online.”
